Glaucoma Analysis

Humphrey Field Analyser

Humphrey Field Analyser (HFA) is used to detect the signs of glaucoma damage to the optic nerve. In addition, it is useful for detection of central or peripheral retinal disease, eyelid condition and diseases affecting the visual pathways within the brain.

HFA test requires you to interact with the machine. You sit in front of a concave dome and stare at an object in the middle. You press a button when you see small flashes of light in your peripheral vision. Your responses help determine if you have a defect in your visual field.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

We use Zeiss Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for taking cross-sectional pictures of the retina; which provides comprehensive imaging and measurement of glaucoma and retinal disease. The device is beneficial for diagnose certain eye conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema and the assessment of early sign of glaucoma.

You eyes will be dilated and you will be seated in front of OCT machine. The equipment will scan your eye without touching it. The scanning will take about 10 to 15 minutes.
